Paris in April

Early in 2001, we were invited to be a part of the Atelier Concert Series at the American Church In Paris.  We spent much of the year preparing for the concert, and finally arrived in Paris in April of 2002.

Rehearsals

Our friend Mary Dibbern was waiting for us, and we spent a week rehearsing with her before the actual concert.

Walking Tour

Graves

Outside of the rehearsals, we strolled around town with our roadies (a.k.a husbands), eating French food and taking lots of pictures, including the former homes and the graves of several of Pauline Viardot's friends and colleagues,

Monet's Garden

Late in the week we took a day off to Giverny to explore Monet's Garden.  Mary came with us and we picked up our friend Margaret on the way.  Later, we had a lovely luncheon at Margaret's house.

Concert

The next day was our dress rehearsal, then Sunday was the concert!  Singing in the beautiful church was wonderful, and the audience was great.

Chairs

Oh yeah, there's also that little story about the Bistro Chairs of Clichy...
