JUST RELEASED: Under Her Spell: The Viardot Effect -- by Duelin' Sopranos, with Mary Dibbern, pianist from Paris, France, and produced by conductor Mary Chun of San Francisco. The collection contains 12 duets and 6 solo art songs, created or arranged by Pauline Viardot and the many composers and/or poets she influenced during the 19th Century.
The 24-page CD booklet includes French lyrics, translations, photographs, and an introduction by Carolyn S. Goff, Ph.D., who completed her doctoral dissertation on the works of Pauline Viardot.
The CDs are available online at www.CDBaby.com along with a few sample sounds. You can find the CDs in selected outlets in and around the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. They will also be available at our concerts.
